Hi All. I have just started modding the new bike and have installed the HeliBar risers. Bars up 30mm and back 25mm. I have followed the instructions, which includes rotating the clutch lever down and moving the little fluid line bracket, and the fit and finish is perfect but as I am a fussy so and so I am not entirely happy with how tight the clutch fluid line is when the bars are on full lock right. Has anyone else noticed this and found a way to fix it or are there any recommendations on a brand of extended line. Any feedback is appreciated.

There is a recommendation to re-route the fluid line down at the business end to buy a bit more slack. I believe that it involves moving the line inboard of a frame tube.

Curious about this. The realOEM parts site lists the same part number for liquid cooled RS,R and GS model clutch hoses. Surely the RS bars are lower than the other two so how does it end up taut ?
(I would add, I am not doubting the OP, just curious what the answer is)

I think you are correct Tony. The instructions are great. The line only needs 10 or 20mm to make me happy. I actually cant remember the last time I had a bike on full lock right anyway but as I said I am a fussy so and so and like things to be done right. I will give it a go.

I put on Helibars on mine too. The line was taut and I wasn't happy with it so I took the left side plastic off and rerouted.

I have the Heli Bar risers and, like you, I felt the hydraulic line was too tight for my taste. I took an easy way out, I opened up the metal ring that holds the line in place near the triple clamp, that allowed the line to move sideways just enough to remove any strain at full lock.

Yes, I installed Helibars and found the clutch line too tight (taut) at full right lock. I disconnected the line at the reservoir, rerouted it slightly, there is an alternative routing and very easy to do, bled the reservoir, and all is good. Some on the old forum reported that they found it unnecessary to reroute the line with Helibars, possibly there are some production variances between bikes, but if the line is taut at any point, it should be addressed. I find the Helibars a good addition.

So rerouted the clutch fluid line and all is now good! Thanks All.
