What is the difference between SC Project Explorer & SC1-R

Hello, I am looking at SC Project exhausts for my 2024 RS, and looking at their website, they do not really do a good job of stating the differences in these two exhaust options. The Explorer is a little less money, but I sure would like to know more before I buy.

Can anyone tell me what the differences between the two are?

I don't know anything about the explorer, but I do have an SC Project on my 22" RS. Saves a ton of weight, probably enough to carry a really good tool kit without adding to the weight of the bike. You can definitely hear the shift-cam crack with the SC Project, and it is loud when you get on it. It has a small bafle in it that could be removed for a strait thru but I don'y know if you could remove it without cutting anything. Comes with a carbon fiber heat shield ... Hope that helps.
I don't personally recommend anyone getting a full exhaust without the little cats on it. I've seen some good evidence that tuners had a lot of trouble getting bikes back up to the stock horsepower after ditching the cats with full exhausts ..... just my two cents

So I just realized that your talking about two different models in the SC Project line up for the 1250. It appears I have the SC1-R after looking at the site. I bought it at BMW Denver, someone had ordered it and then didn't pic it up so I bought it to help them out and they knocked off some from the price. It was still close to 1000 so I'm pretty sure it's a SC1-R judging by the shape and price .... It does fit with the BMW panniers on my 22". All though the can does come to an end well before the back of the pannier. The stock panniers do have a metal heat shield right there where it is needed. And I was concerned when I put the can on about all that but when it is running the tail pipe does direct the exhaust away from the pannier somewhat, toward the back and not outward to the side. It has been on there a couple of years and no scorch marks or anything like that.

I can only see an Explorer 2 on the website - the difference appears to be the cross section shape. Does that make a difference or just the appearance?
