Looks very nice out on the road, wessie. I hope it's meeting all your requirements for comfort and performance. Bikes are so different, it does take a while to "meld" with them. Took me 5,000 miles on the RS before I got it (or was it me?) sorted.

clicked over 900 miles today on a loop over Ceri Ridge. 1st service due, booking made for 6 May.

We are gelling well and no hip pain.

Riding is becoming intuitive in terms of gear selection and confidence to judge safe overtakes in traffic. I did the last 12 miles today on a main road and it is the second week of the Easter school holidays in Wales with tourists dawdling at 40 mph in a 60 limit. I'm still not always reaching for the clutch on down changes as I forget there is no autoblipper. Some recalibration is needed when you drop from 125bhp to 80.
Handling is lovely. I have not felt the need to twiddle the suspension from default settings. Front brake works well, it's a Brembo item and the forks don't dive too much. It's so nice not to be thrown out of the saddle across poor surfaces! Tight hairpins are so much easier on this.
I have got to grips with the menu system to adjust the heated seat and grips. The latter are cosy warm not blisteringly hot. The seat is very cosy in the lowest setting. Cruise control switchgear is different but easy to use and works well, although easy to flip the main beam toggle when activating the cruise. BMW's switch is nicer to use.
There are a number of modes, sport, road, rain, off road and custom. On the nadgery stuff, I have found road mode is optimum. The gentler power delivery from low revs suits tight corners more. Sport mode is nice but not at low revs, it can be a little jerky.
Apart from the one pannier latch disassembling, nothing is broken. Reassembled using blue loctite. The bike can supposedly talk to an app on your phone including navigation. It worked fine for a trip to the seaside then when I asked it to find a route back home, it has decided not to talk to my phone again! Not something I am too bothered about. It's not a very sophisticated navigation app and if my ancient Zumo packs in, I will either get a newer Zumo or a Carplay screen.
The windscreen works okay for most stuff but a little noisy over 70mph. I might try the Puig spoiler I used on the RS before going to Spain.
The only mods done are to add a 12V supply at the bars, a Givi topbox plate and a SW Motech tank bag. The OE power socket is just USB at 1A, which is okay for charging a phone but not for a device in use. The 12V can power my satnav and has enough amps for my tyre pump. I used a Thunderbox distribution box connected to the battery using a switched live trigger. This has 3 more outlets should I wish to add more accessories.
Tank range is good as 23 litres. Just filled up (well as much as you can as the filler neck is narrow and really needs a hole punched into it to allow air to escape. Range showing 255 miles.
The Dunlop Trailmax Meridian tyres are nice. The spoked wheels are a proper PITA to clean, so have not bothered.
No oil used. No main stand and you have to hold the bike upright to check the oil, but you can't see the sight glass due to the sticky out cylinder. I raided my brother's wood offcut pile and we found a 2x2x2" block is ideal to place under the side stand to hold the bike the right height. Now part of the touring toolkit. It has a satisfactory lean angle, unlike the RS.
Picnic by the River Clun in Clun village. The roads were lovely and quiet once off the main routes.

Another old faithful added today. The Puig clip on spoiler used on my 2015 Tracer/FJ09 and R1200RS. Much better.

Looks lovely with the blue sky in the River Dovey valley but I had heated grips on all day and really should have worn a fleece under my jacket not just a jumper.

and the app now talks to the bike, once it dawned on me that there needs to be a human interaction every time.

Whilst the phone and bike automatically connect to one another using bluetooth, one has to fire up the app and bash a red button to make the app talk to the bike. Now to work out why the GPX files created on my Garmin Zumo, when imported to the navigation app (also using Here maps) do not format correctly.

Been out today with the miss’s on the rs and she’s not happy with the pillion peg to seat height now she’s getting older so maybe going to look at a guzzi next weekend have you ridden 2 up on yours what’s it like is there enough grunt to haul 2 big buggers around
