It sounds like it'll be down on power, but I think it might look a bit nicer than the Beemer.

There is a lot of speculation on price- I hope they pitch it at a reasonable price, but we shall see...
I am very happy Guzzi has decided to make a water-cooled V twin, and it seems very similar to the RS to me as well. They have been developing the water cooled lump for several years now- I remember seeing one on display in the factory in 2005. I doubt this is a descendent of that motor, but it shows there had been plans. My guess is finances and multiple exchanges of company ownership kept it from seeing the light of day. With the success of the V7 line, the V85 and stricter Euro5 regulations, this move makes a lot of sense. Good timing as well with the 100th anniversary.
The V85tt is a very nice bike- I had one for about a year. It didn't gel with me though, and I wanted a bit more hp, so I sold it and bought an RS.

I think it's a good looking bike, I like it. I have no idea where the nearest MotoGuzzi dealer is. That's a problem.

Great looking bike. Expected to be @ 130 bhp. Interesting that it has Active Aero to aid rider comfort.

I like the looks of the new Guzzi. The new engine will likely show up on other models. Don't know to expect for torque/power. I hope it is not a high strung 130hp as someone on this blog suggested. I'm also very impressed with the Ohlin suspension. This should allow the owner to tune them up to be an outstanding suspension...ie better than the RS...but not a flexible for passengers/ load.

If this bike comes in in the area of 450 lbs....I'll drive the 145 miles to the nearest dealer to take a look.

Agree with Vtbob on the looks of the new Guzzi.

There's a Guzzi dealer 20 miles from me. Might go look at one when they get them in.

I think it looks really smart. My local Guzzi dealer is only 35 miles away (Falkirk), so I think I'll probably have a test run when it is released.

I tried the V85TT and was really surprised that I liked it as much as I did, but it was pretty vibey and it just didn't feel like there was enough power there - especially on the motorway - so this might be the required step up.

It'll have to go some to prise me away from the RS though....
