Let's hope its not a battery that caused the problem. A lot of Tesla owners will become concerned! With this type of racing and the cycling demand from the battery its asking a lot of the lithium batteries. Watch this space..... |

The second report said that the Energicas were not being charged at the time, so hopefully that means that the fire was not the result of their lithium batteries and was caused by some other factor. If the fire was caused by their batteries, that would be really bad for the future of all electric vehicle racing.

The latest news is that the fire might have been started by a short in a large capacity charger installed in the paddock.
