Made the mistake of test riding an RR earlier this year. God it was good! Surprisingly comfortable for the hour I rode it. The quickshifter was liquid butter both up and down in all gears, and mechanically precise - very different to the squishy sensation of the RS foot lever. Very easy to ride in slow stop-start traffic and low revs. And a telepathy guided rapier in the twisties.

Since then have been averting my eyes every time I come across one. 😍

On negative side the dash was a horrible faint LCD and extremely difficult to read. Far worse than the RS. I returned the bike with an empty tank because I couldn't read the gauge. I note the new RR gets the TFT.

Still featured at the California Superbike Schools - a great way to get a fix if not an addiction.

As many of you are tired of hearing - still waiting for the S1000RS - rumored until the Ducati "adventure" bike hit the top of the charts and begat the XR....

For guys like me, (6'3" and 240 pounds in leathers) disappointed to see the RR actually get shorter this year. No way I'm getting behind the screen with any style, unless it's that 80's style, ass-in-the-air....
