Has anyone changed the pillion foot pegs for a different design. The rubber on the foot peg my wife uses to mount the bike has torn any it started quite early on, I don't think it looks robust enough for a pillion getting on and off on a regular basis so I'm wondering if anyone else has had this problem and done anything other than replacing the rubber. |

Zitat von firebird1 im Beitrag #3 Right - as long as one doesn't mind the fact they do not match the rider's pegs, which are necessarily grippy and allow movement - no reason the pillion cannot go with a large platform peg. You might take a look at some of the big touring stuff at the dealership with a set of calipers to see what fits and then see what's offered on EBay these days by everyone else unhappy with stock pegs.

There have been posts on the old forum as well by members complaining of the rubber on both sets of pegs being too soft, or tearing or needing replacement. Could this problem have some relationship to how old the bike is, and if the rubber(?) gets harder and tougher as it "cures"? I have had no problems, or any hint of any problems over the last 3 years.
