Anyone looking for a fun place to ride and stop for a coffee in East Midlands, I�d recommend the Triumph factory in Hinckley, Leicestershire, they have a dedicated bike park, coffee shop ( lockers for all your gear) and a free museum of Triumph heritage and modern bikes. It�s truly fabulous and makes you proud to be a Brit ( honest!). Thank goodness there are no sports tourers in their lineup to tempt us away from our beloved boxers. A very friendly place, really welcoming, I�d say you want a couple of hours to do the place justice. For £18 you can take a factory tour but that needs pre booking, i�ll certainly be back for that experience. Maybe there�s space for a Thruxton in the garage if I clear out some of my wife�s stuff!

Not been but the Tiger Sport would make a half decent alternative to the RS. I took one for a spin when my Explorer had a service.

It's a shame they did not keep developing the Sprint range. A budget bike like the RS Sprint made in Thailand would possibly give the Tracer & Z1000SX a run for their money. Then they could have a more upmarket bike with their superb WP suspension to compete with the posher bikes. Seems the hipster/retro market is more profitable.

Yes the Tiger is a nice bike but as I chose the RS over the GS, for the same reason the Tiger is not in the running .... for now.
It is a pity the Sprint was dropped from the range, I thought it was a great looking bike, though I�ve never ridden one. I sat on the SpeedTriple and it�s just too compact for my 6ft frame.

Yes I did the tour a few months back - I can thoroughly recommend that. One Top Tip though - you want to do it while the factory's up and running; I did it on a Friday afternoon and there wasn't a soul around as they were on a 4-day week at the time (I think). Still interesting but took a bit of the shine off
