Exhausts and Engine » coolant fill

Is it me as the best people say but how the hell do you top up the coolant system with that little cap stuck in such an awkward place. Going to BSB in Assen this weekend and thought I would be a good biker and check all the levels. the water is just above minimum so thought I would fill up but no way can I do it. checked with dealer and they say it will be fine!!!

My old sv650 was awkward to top up, I had an old scotoiler bottle that I cut the bottom off and used that, the top of that bottle had a length of plastic tube attached so it acted like a long funnel. You could try attaching a length of tubing to the end of a funnel and use that, push the tubing into the coolant reservoir and fill through the funnel.

I just bought a cheap turkey baster and pulled the squeeze bulb off. Works perfect as a long narrow funnel.

Turkey baster? The last time I had heard of one of these was in defence of a paternity suit by a bloke who denied having done the deed with a lady; and the explanation he offered was that she had taken the baster and charged it with his "essential bodily fluids" without his knowledge or consent.
As far as I can recall, the defence did not succeed, but it has forever jaundiced my view of the humble turkey baster.
