I’m 2k into my 2018 1200SE, which now has 20k miles on it having bought it December last year. Like a numpty I just checked the dealer stamps in the service log without diving into the detail - essentially the 12k interval requirements were missed and just the oil and filter changed. Must admit I’m surprised a Mottorad dealer would allow that but perhaps it’s a case of customer gets what they ask for? Anyway - decided to ditch the official network (UK) and go to Bike Motor Works at Grendon Northants, Ian Joyce talked me though his findings noting incorrect wire routing (I imagine for the genuine spots it has) and a driveshaft drain plug that required a breaker bar to undo it. All corrected and the bike ran so well on the way home it felt genuinely different! Shout out to this independent who knows his stuff!
