Thinking that I could use a coverall-style all-weather suit for more comfortable and safer early-morning rides and possible trips to New England, I purchased a used 2pc Aerostich suit in HiViz yellow. It's undoubtedly visible and with enough wear that other riders think I'm a regular road warrior. The seller's description of "used for one trip to Alaska" was pure BS, but there are no rips or tears.
Anyhow, these suits are made from thick and stiff Cordora material and the collar is relatively tall with a velcro closure. What I've discovered is ........ the stiff material and tall collar results in less wind noise than my thinner or mesh material riding jackets. Lately, I've been riding with the stock shield in the lowest position and using the BMW sport seat.........placing the wind blast on my upper chest. So, it all kinda makes sense...........less flapping material.
