Dunlop RS4's on the 16RS. 36/42 cold tire, compensated + or -1 degree F for every 10 degrees F above or below 70F [ ya, it's supposed to be from 68F, 70F up or down is fine for govt work.
My mechanic inflates them to 38/40 as a rule of thumb. I follow the 1F up or down from 36/42 for every 10 degrees above or below 70F. I run with 40-45#'s of kit in the panniers and top box [ combined ] 24/7 and weight 180#'s.
Just threw a new set of RS4's on yesterday, the last pair had 7700 miles and another 2/32 left before wear bars using the above. Unlike boxer, when on a trip, I'll check the tires cold every 3rd morning unless the temps have changed drastically from one morning to the next.
I'll leave here in a month at 6am and it'll be 90F in the valley of the sun. In two days it'll be 60F at 6am. Yes, I want to check cold tire pressures every few days. It costs nothing and it's prudent if one wants to wring the best mileage out of their tread.
