Hi, new member, not new to BMWs though. Just picked up a 2016 R12RS, but also have an HP2 Sport and an R11S. I don't have the repair manual so I'm a bit lost as I'm switching the headlight bulbs back to halogen. For the life of me I can't figure out how to remove the small 5v long life bulb in each headlight housing. I have the main headlight bulbs out and I see where the small bulb is located but I don't want to just yank it out. Does the little lever I see lock in place and if so, do I push it in towards the bulb or away from the bulb? Thanks!

Figured it out. The small lever does lock those small 5v bulbs in place. I used a long flat blade screwdriver to gently push the tab outwards away from the bulb and a small pair of pliers to gently pull the connector out, but not by the wires. With the infills off on each side (those small triangular fairing pieces), it's not too difficult.
