Electronics » Nav mount relocation to above gauges using MV mount

Do not have access to my 2017 RS1200RS at present and hoping someone can advise - I have MV mount as per the photo and am looking to move the BMW Nav mount to this location for a better view whilst riding. What I need to know is can the nav mount be adapted to fit a Ram style mount. The Ram mounting plate is a AMP standard (39 x 30) bolt pattern but I cannot confirm if the BMW Nav mount that usually grips the standard bar has the same bolt hole pattern . If it does then I can adapt it to this style of mount which will allow me to best position the mount to clear the screen and bars etc -
Hoping someone can advise/ confirm what the bolt pattern is on the standard nav mount - I cannot find any reference to it anywhere

I can confirm that the four screws that hold the OEM BMW nav mount together are indeed AMPS pattern (38.5x30mm). You could remove the OEM nav mount from the OEM bracket and mount your AMPS pattern plate with ball on the back with with longer screws and nuts.

I like that MV ball mount! I have the BMW connectedride cradle as well as a Quadlock case and mount with vibration damper for my phone, so for me it would be a perfect way to relocate my phone to the best viewing position.
It would mean I can't make use of the wireless charging feature of the connected ride cradle, but no problem to use a short cable for charging.
The MV mount is on my shopping list. Thanks for that!

Just noticed that the R1200RS and R1250RS versions of the MV mount are different. The MV website is confusing because they show the same R1200RS picture for both.
I've emailed them for clarification.
