Hello,

Just want to know if anyone has problems with the heating of engine that radiate to your feet?

Because I do, and please give a good solution to this problem

I previously did a lot of riding in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida where temperatures were 95F with similar humidity. The boots you need are the Summer BMW vented boots. It permits some airflow to your feet. Wearing thinner socks also helps. It may not be the perfect solution but it does cool your feet.

My feet get hotter on this bike than any of the K bikes I had in the past.

My feet get hot too, but not nearly has hot as my R1100R and R1150R bikes, one of which melted the soles right off of my boots when riding in 100 degree temperatures. I wear heavy insulated boots and they seem to keep the heat under control.

I bought the Alpinestars, short mesh boots
But they even made it worse

I drive on the highway wit a speed around 130-140
Km/hour..... The heat is hell

Never had this problem on my previous bike, bmw K 1200r sport

Heat? What heat, I don't seem to have the heat issues mentioned here. Never actually noticed, will see when i ride the bike again. I had this on the 1600 GTL though.

My limited experience of riding in hot temperatures on RS is:
with riding suit and long boots no vents - don't feel engine temperature when moving or stationary, but I feel the ambient hot day when stopped off bike / walking about, it becomes uncomfortable.
with draggin jeans and short ankle boots - feel engine temperature blowing around lower leg when moving at speeds below 40mph, almost too hot at times around ankles and lower shins, but off the bike I'm much more comfortable, in the jeans and short boots.

Maybe it does come down to riding gear and riding circumstances? I will add that In the cooler months, which in the UK are most of them, I find the RS warmer to ride that the fully faired Suzuki SV1000 I have, and I put this down to the warm air blowing from the cylinders around feet and legs.

You're clearly not riding fast enough

The heat radiating from the horizontally opposed cylinders was the very thing I had wondered about when purchasing my '16 RS. I've logged a few days of 95-97F temps (with typical NC humidity) and the only time it seems to be an issue is during city/ stop and go riding. Even then, not as extreme as I had imagined. Early last summer I was riding in Bates Tactical boots. I then purchased a pair of Alpinestars SMX3 (similar to the SMX1, previously mentioned) boots, which I wear every time I ride. They seem to offer a good balance of protection and ventilation, for a short boot. Not sure of the difference between the SMX1 and SMX3.

Go faster!

I should add, I can feel more heat on this bike, but it's not uncomfortable.

My feet get a bit warm, but this is mainly because the engine blocks airflow, rather than engine heat. So, I guess this is feature?

Despite the intense summer heat here in Louisiana, I have had no problem with hot feet. Maybe it’s the engine spoilers...my bike has them.
