So I just bought a lightly used 2016 R1200RS Owners manual shows an OBD II connector, and how to get at it. Older manuals don't show anything. I looked at the connector today and I can not tell definitively how the cap comes off. I don't see any latches and when I tried to pull the cap off either by twisting or just pulling it would not move. I didn't want to force anything until I knew how it came off.

Remove the connector from the holder, then you can unscrew the cap.

Lee, Thanks That cap was on very tight. I didn't want to force anything until I knew exactly how it came off.
Took a good bit of force but it finally came loose. I have never understood why some people believe too tight is right.

Yep, I never like to use much force when dealing with plastic.
