I just saw a Motorcycle.com review of the new 2021 Honda CB1000R and it had the following interesting statement regarding this Euro 5 model, which BTW has a huge muffler at the side to go along with its under engine muffler: Honda did replace the O2 lambda sensors with linear air flow sensors in the downpipes to improve measurement accuracy. I wonder if this device will be replacing the O2 sensor on motorcycles in the future? If it is completely contained within the exhaust pipe, that would be an improvement over having an O2 sensor or two sticking out of the exhaust pipe(s) with associated wires dangling in the breeze.
