Hi all. I’m new to this RS forum, having just acquired a “new to me” 2016 R1200RS. I am also a member of the R forum as I still have my old lady 2011 R1200R “camhead”. Looking to learn from You knowledgeable “wasserboxer” folks, particularly on technical aspects. |

Welcome to the forum! Honestly, there is not much "tech" that goes on here. Mostly ride reports, bike banter, and threads about seats and windshields. These bikes seem to just run, which, for those of us that grew up with carbs and thread adjustable valves, can sometimes be a little too much to handle. |

Yup, I know these are not the “hands on out of necessity” bikes of old, but I’m sure there are a few technically minded owners on here who at least do their own maintenance. 😁 |

Welcome Eddie, I think you will find plenty of information on how to farkle your new RS on this site, they surely are overall very reliable machines but many owners like to adapt them for safety, protection and ergonomics etc and you will find plenty of threads here, also there are quite some riders who elect to do their own serving who are always willing to share their wisdom. |

Welcome Eddie. When it comes to maintenance, particularly valve adjustments, a majority of owners have reported "no adjustment required" even with high mileage bikes. As far as your handle, haven't heard the name Steady Eddie since Mr. Lawson was still competing. |

I'm not that "Eddie", although I admit to to stealing the nickname, and yes I'm old enough to know who Eddie Lawson is. No bigger MotoGP fan than me. |
