Last week I went out to the Danube Delta and followed the tour in that region which is included in the book, the Carpathian 2 Wheels Guide - Touring Romania. I put together a pdf file with a Ride Report with some of the more interesting photos from the ride. Hope you find this of interest.

nice tour. What is this guide book ?

Plan to go to romania by the end of august, if everything works. But we are not so far south, only up to the Transalpina and Transfagaras high road are the main destinations.

I did the Transfagaras and Transalpina last September, both are spectacular roads. Unfortunately I will not be in Romania at that time, we will be spending the month of August in Crete. I stayed in Sibiu and used that as a base to go over both passes.
