I've just raised the fork tubes in the triple clamps by 12 mm on my R1200RS. I did it for two reasons. Firstly to get me more flat footed at a stop and secondly to quicken up the steering (turn in). The difference is so subtle that I don't really notice much, although I'm sure it's there. No problem with ground clearance so far, although I have previously scraped the main stand a few times. I'm sticking with the change for now. No noticeable added pressure on the wrists either.
Raised mine about 12mm on my 2018 R1200RS and feel it’s a definite improvement. Sharper steering and bike actually feels a little smaller with the nose down.
