Just had the left switch gear replaced due to a faulty switch for the speed control.

Bike is 4 years old from jan. 2016 and out of warrenty, but BMW did cover 75% of the costs (the full price was 480 Euro)
I am sad that it already was broken and i find the price extremly high, but it is very nice that BMW covered most of the costs. Even that i did the last 30K service myself.

Sadly a common problem with the 2016 bikes. I had mine changed in 2018 just before my 2 year warranty expired. The info button had become a bit notchy but still worked. My dealer knew it was about to expire so I had no problem getting a new one fitted under warranty.
