Tony, Agreed, lowering the bike a bit would need to include a shorter side stand, about 3/4" shorter would work fine. My RS1200R is currently .5" lower in the rear and 1" lower in the front with no loss in overall suspension travel at either end. The bike already handled very well but now its even more effortless to ride no matter what the velocity, and because the ride height is so high to begin with, I have not been able to touch the peg yet, which would be the first thing to drag. Going to start a new post with some pics of my project.
