Weather permitting, I'm off on a another quick trip to Scotland -

I'll be camping - plan is to head for Kielder Forest on the 18 May (most remote village in England and great for dark skies/star gazing) then ride up to Arisaig (nr Mallaig) on the 19th (camping on the coast), spend the 20th on Skye and back down to home (Leicestershire) on the 21st.

Any forum members planning on being in the same area?

Did a similar trip same time last year to Applecross, which was great fun but I hope the weather is better this time!

I'll post pics and an update etc when done!

great ride, live near Penrith so go through Keilder lots love it. enjoy a stop at the cafe there sitting on the balcony overlooking the lake.

what is your route up to Keidler as may join you if I can for some of the ride on 18th

Hi Graham,

Looking at A1/A68 then taking advantage of Kielder Forest drive for a bit of off roading on the RS (did similar on my R1150R a couple of years ago, which handled it well) to get me to Kielder campsite (and a pint and bite to eat at The Pheasant Inn). Don't know if that's anywhere near you.

Then travelling on M74 on Saturday to get me north of Glasgow and in to the Trossachs/Glencoe/Ft William/Mallaig as quickly as possible.

We'll be doing our week-long loop in mid-July. Cannae wait, laddie!
