In the forum settings, I have "automatically rotate attached files" enabled, so the images in the preview can be seen properly and after opening then seen as uploaded.
(If I am not wrong ?)

I don't see this option in forum settings.

You can't see it, this is not a personal setting - it's a general setting that needs to be set by the admin for the whole forum.

I'm not sure that the default rotation setting is desirable. Now, when somebody has uploaded correctly orientated pictures, as with the most recent additions in this thread, they get rotated when selected for viewing. I would suggest revert to the previous settings.

Have already turned off the automatic rotation yesterday

Holger, most recent pictures (correctly orientated) are still rotated through 90 degrees when I click on them. Any thoughts?

Same here - does the effect only apply retrospectively?
A bit off-topic but here's a quick test - I'm uploading a rotated pic of my Lovely Lupin, plus one of my old VStrom in the correct orientation...

[EDIT: so, they both seem to appear here as thumbnails and expanded images exactly as they do on my computer]

KC100->CB100N->CB250RS--------->DL650AL2->R1200RS
